Waking up at 6 a.m. and still managing to look fresh is seemingly impossible for most students. However, when it comes to junior Collin Bass and senior Jane Stovall, it is a piece of cake.

Collin Bass:

How would you describe your style ?

“I would describe my style as clean and modern, but I just wear whatever I’m feeling each day.”

Who inspired your style? Why?

“There really isn’t anyone who inspired me to dress this way, so I just wear what I like.”

Why do you like to dress this way? How does it show your personality?

“I dress this way because when I dress nicer I feel more put together and confident. This boosts my attention for school and mood all together.”

What would you never wear?

“There really isn’t a lot I wouldn’t wear.”

What are your fashion pet peeves? What is the best fashion advice?

“My best fashion advice is to just do you! My biggest fashion pet peeve is when people judge others style. If they like it, don’t put them down just because you don’t like it.”

How long does it take you to get ready? Does it take a lot of thought?

“To get ready doesn’t take too much time or thought. I just put on what I’m feeling. I almost always wear khaki shorts, and for my shirt, I wear what appeals to me on that day.”

Jane Stovall:

How would you describe your style?

“It’s always changing. It’s typically pretty girly, but lately I’ve been mixing in more hipster or grunge.”

Have you always had a love for fashion? If so, when did it begin?

“I’ve always loved to dress trendy but unique. Even as a child, I would put on my mom’s heels and dresses.”

What is your biggest fashion pet peeve? What is the best fashion advice?

“I hate when people wear black shirts with brown shoes, and my best fashion advice is to just wear it. People are always so worried about people approving of their outfits, but the best ones are always a risk.”

How long does it take you to get ready? Does it take a lot of thought?

“It takes me 30 to 45 minutes to get ready. Sometimes I’ll try on an outfit but go with a different one. However, it doesn’t take a lot of thought.”

Who is your fashion inspiration?

“I don’t really have a fashion inspiration. I don’t just buy particular brands. I just buy anything that sticks out to me. I’ve worked with a handful fashion designers and fashion photographers, and I’m inspired by each of them in a special way. I just wear whatever makes me feel confident.”
