Last week, on Ground Hog’s Day, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow declaring that more winter is on its way. The weather in Cypress, Texas begs to differ.

Texas has been known to do its own thing, in more ways than just the weather though. Today, temperatures reached a high of 91, ten years ago today the high was a seasonally appropriate 77.

A contrasting air temperature is happening up north though. This has been a mild winter so far, but tomorrow, New York and other parts of the Northeast are expecting over a foot of snow- this is shocking because this past week they have been experiencing temperatures in the 60’s.

This sudden change will have costly effects on travel that many should be aware and take note of. The high heat in the south and sporadic weather patterns in the north are consequences of climate changed and should not be viewed lightly.
