Cy Woods is currently one of the most over-crowded schools in CFISD and this is extremely evident in the lunch lines. As a person who has eaten the school lunch since Kindergarten, getting food from the lunch lines has always been a fight for your life.
However, this year has just gotten over-the-top excessive. If you don’t get to the lunch lines within two minutes of the bell, you might as well just not eat that day. But let’s say you do make it within the time limit. Now there’s people cutting in groups of five. You quite literally have to make a strategic game plan just to get a slice of pizza. And I understand cutting, but going through the exit door and then right to the very front of the line with six other friends is insane.
One of the wildest experiences I’ve had was when I was about to get my food and this guy who had brought his four other friends decided to physically shove me out of the way. No sorry either. He actually had no response. He just kept glancing in my direction and pretended he did not just push me out of the way for two tacos. We’re living the Hunger Games in real time.
