There is a brand new funky smell coming from someone every day while walking through the halls of this school. Body odor is something that isn’t hard to control. Deodorant, perfume, cologne and body wash are all items that are available at a majority of stores. The pungent smell of onions and dried sweat slaps the joy out of all who surround the source. That source is typically someone who looks like they haven’t discovered what deodorant is before. The teenage sources of these nostril-burning stenches usually come from the athletic or fine arts hall area. It’s distracting to have to sit next to or around someone in class who smells like they haven’t showered in a week. Are those with bad body odor not able to smell themselves? Can they not see the looks that people give them in class or when they pass someone by in the hallway? It’s understandable that there are some people who don’t have the resources to keep their hygiene up to standards all the time but, this rant is not about those people. This rant is about those who clearly have the time and money to be hygienic and for some reason choose not to be. How does one voluntarily choose to not be clean?
