Week 1 in the NFL is now officially wrapped up a there is a lot to talk about. Some things that happened were predicted, others were extraordinary, and others were just mind boggling.

Most notable news from all the action in week one:

Baltimore Ravens:

Lamar Jackson began his sophomore season with a real bang. Throwing 5 passing touchdowns and leading his team to a blowout 59-10 win over the Miami Dolphins. He by far lead all Quarterbacks in passing touchdowns and he silenced all the doubters saying that he was more than just a runner. He will look to continue his dominance when he takes his talents back home against the Kyler Murray led Arizona Cardinals.

Kansas City Chiefs:

The reigning MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes brought the power down in Duval County this past Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Against a tough opponent, some expected the Jaguars to shut him down. However, in the first couple of minutes Mahomes connected with wide receiver Sammy Watkins for a 68-yard touchdown and he couldn’t be stopped after that. He ended up with the win and an impressive stat line with 378 passing yards and 3 passing touchdowns, and he could’ve added one more but tried a no-look pass to tight end Travis Kelce, but he overthrew him. However, the Chiefs did lose wide receiver Tyreek Hill due to injury, but they should still handle business against the post- Antonio Brown Oakland Raiders.

Cleveland Browns:

The Cleveland Browns came into the 2019-2020 season with the most hype of any team in the league. Week one was their first chance to show their talents, however, they didn’t. In their matchup against the Tennessee Titans they got easily beaten down, losing 13-43. Quarterback Baker Mayfield threw three interceptions and they had 18 total penalties compared to only six for the Titans. Despite a tough start for the Browns, I expect them to get their act together and put up a good week when they take their skills to the Big Apple for a meeting with the 0-1 New York Jets.

Minnesota Vikings:

Lastly, is about the star running back for the Minnesota Vikings Dalvin Cook. After two seasons of horrendous injuries, Cook came into Week one versus the Atlanta Falcons being healthier than ever, and he proved it. He put up two scores and ended up getting 22 total touches. In addition, his team jumped out to a 28-0 lead to the Falcons and used him up to the best of his abilities. As long as Cook can stay healthy, don’t be surprised if he gets back on this list with great games. The Vikings with now take the fight to their division rival Green Bay Packers who showed off their new revamped defense against the Chicago Bears on opening night.

Now that Week one is in the books, it’s onto Week two where there should be no shortage of outstanding plays and unforgettable moments.
