Kingsman: The Golden Circle Review

Is it Worth It?

Here’s a movie review I’ve been waiting to give. Kingsman: The Secret Service is one of my favorite movies of all time. I could watch it a million times and never get sick of it. I love the action, the plot and the humor. So when I heard they were making a sequel I was beyond excited and knew right then I was going to see it in theaters.

On its opening weekend, I got a big group of friends together to see it. We were all pretty hyped for it and had high expectations due to the first one. We wanted good characters, plot, action, and humor. Let’s get started.

The movie opens up with a car chase. It has good action, but it’s pretty tough on the eyes. Don’t get me wrong, it’s awesome, just not the best. I love how they bring back a really annoying character from the first movie and make you hate him straight away, but I wish the camera work was done more efficiently.

Other than that, I actually really enjoyed the movie. The main villain was well thought out, she was cruel and vicious. She did disgusting and sadistic things that made the audience wince. I liked the fact that she was a girl, it put a twist on things, and her overall “evil plan” was unique. I won’t spoil it, but it wasn’t too cliche or corny.

I also enjoyed how this movie made a lot of references and inside jokes to the first movie. It made my heart happy and almost made me want to cry at some parts. I don’t want to give too much away but when they brought a certain character back it made me very overwhelmed but in a good way.

The overall action in the movie was really good, the soundtrack incorporated with it made it even better and added to the scenes. Although I’ll always love the first one and enjoy it more, I definitely still recommend this movie to anyone who is into spies, humor and excitement.
