This past week, Harvard hosted their 43rd annual debate tournament for high school students across the world. The tournament had over 1,300 entries competing in a number of different events. Students came from places close to Boston like New York, while some flew all the way from China.

While the world as a whole was well represented, students from Cypress Woods also excelled at the prestigious tournament. Sophomores Tvisha Malik and Eileene Lee were Octofinalists in Public Forum, earning their second bid to the Tournament of Champions, securing them a spot in Kentucky later this year. Senior Lucas Clarke was a Triple Octofinalist, and Sophomore Yohan Wang finished with a 4-2 record.
